I was in constant self-propulsion mode, never allowing time for mental health or self-care. I had negative feelings toward meditation and mindfulness practices - complete wastes of time that couldn't impact my fragile emotional state. Or so I thought.
The truth? I masked my internal chaos with a smile and sweet demeanor. The inside didn't match the outside, and I was the only one who knew.
The Problem - Lack of Morning Structure and Healthy Habits
Control was my biggest issue. Take that snooze button, for example. If you're a parent, you know this struggle! Parenting requires patience, love, tolerance, teaching, discipline, sacrifice, money, and time. I was exhausted and felt I deserved those extra 30 minutes after staying up too late watching Game of Thrones.
My work-life balance was nonexistent. As a small business owner passionate about customer service, I believed I had to control every aspect of the customer experience.
